Pro*Doc Program in Stochastics
The Swiss National Foundation promotes the International Graduate College "Stochastic Models of Complex Systems and their Applications" at the mathematical institutes of the ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich, together with the mathematical institutes of the TU Berlin, the Humboldt University Berlin, the University of Potsdam and the WIAS Berlin.

The Pro*Doc program in stochastics has the following vacancies for a start on January 1, 2009, or later:

The International Graduate College is organized by university lecturers cooperating in common research projects with colleagues from Berlin and Potsdam. Research priorities of the Graduate School are
* Probability Theory, in particular Random Media
(E. Bolthausen, University of Zurich, A.-S. Sznitman, ETH Zurich)
* Finance and Insurance Mathematics
(F. Delbaen, P. Embrechts, M. Schweizer, ETH Zurich)
Interested persons with above-average degree or doctorate should apply online containing a curriculum vitae, copies of certificates, a copy of the final paper (diploma or Master thesis and PhD thesis, respectively), an evaluation of a university lecturer and a working programme (postgraduates) . For the the positions three letters of recommendation are required.
Screening of the applications will start on December 10, 2008.
Applications should preferably be submitted by this date.
